Our influencing

Homelessness is an experience, not a forever. With the right support, it can be ended.

We use our insight and expertise to amplify the voices of people experiencing homelessness and campaign for change. We focus our efforts on where we can make the most significant impact and lend our voice to support campaigns on significant sector issues.

We’re focused on leading change in women’s homelessness, health and issues impacting Londoners.

Women’s homelessness

Women experiencing homelessness in England are being let down by a system designed predominantly for men. A major part of the problem is that the Government policies and practices we rely on are based on data that doesn’t recognise and account for the experiences of women sleeping rough.

We are calling for the Government to take action and tackle the systemic inequalities faced by homeless women.

Health & Homelessness

Homelessness is a brutal and traumatic experience and places enormous pressure on both physical health and mental wellbeing.

Despite having some of the most urgent health needs, people experiencing homelessness face many barriers to accessing the sort of healthcare that the majority of us regularly benefit from.

We advocate for our clients, establish partnerships with NHS and health services and call for change in the way services are commissioned.

London

London is the fourth most expensive city to live in the world. It has an enormous population, a chronic shortage of affordable housing, sky high rents and a state support system that hasn’t kept up with today’s prices. All of these factors greatly influence how someone experiences homelessness in London compared to elsewhere in the UK.

We’re calling for action to give Londoners a fair chance.
