Three young women stand in an exhibition centre, facing and admiring an art piece on the wall. They are positioned close to one another, engaged and focused on the artwork in front of them, with the gallery's modern and well-lit interior visible in the background.

University of Greenwich Galleries showcase latest creative works by 51 ArtHouse artists

This year’s exhibition presents a range of artwork in mediums, including sculpture, collage, photography, drama, and creative make-up. It is made with partners including Cass Art, the British Museum, and artists Nick Gentry, Meghan O’Malley, and Mary Stephenson. The exhibition is supported by the University of Greenwich Galleries and is sponsored by Cass Art, the UK’s leading art supplies retailer.

Led by a passion for equal access to the arts, our ArtHouse programme supports creative development and provides a space for people to share artistic ideas, skills and knowledge. The programme helps participants in the journey to employment within the creative industries, working with professionals to design and deliver courses, providing platforms for talent and building partnerships to increase access to some of London’s most renowned arts and cultural institutions, including the Tate Modern and Young Vic Theatre.

One of the 51 artists from the ArtHouse programme said, “I found my creative side that had been subdued for six years.”

David Waterworth, University of Greenwich Galleries Curator, says, “We are excited to work with the ArtHouse programme again this year. Last year’s exhibition showcased a really talented group of artists, and this year’s exhibition promises to be equally as strong.”

Gallery opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
