Bolt UK has partnered with Single Homeless Project to launch Ride for Warmth – an in-app campaign raising awareness of rough sleeping in London and supporting the charity’s work with people experiencing homelessness.
From 8–14 December 2025, Bolt riders can choose the Single Homeless Project “Ride for Warmth” category in the Bolt app. An additional £1.00 will be added to the trip price (paid by the rider to Bolt as part of the ride cost). For each Ride for Warmth trip completed, Bolt will donate £1.00 of its own funds to Single Homeless Project.
Chris McMillan, Operations Leader, Bolt UK:
“Every day, our riders and drive partners see how tough London can be, and in winter, rough sleeping becomes even more dangerous. With Ride for Warmth, we’re making it simple for people to show support: choose the category in the app, and for every trip completed, Bolt will donate £1 to Single Homeless Project to help keep people warm and safe.”
As temperatures drop, the risks for people without a safe home rise sharply. Support through Ride for Warmth will help reach people sleeping rough, keep them warm and safe, and support them to move on from the streets and towards a safer, more stable future.
Mel Malcolm, Head of Rough Sleeping, Single Homeless Project:
“Rough sleeping is dangerous and brutal, especially for women. This partnership with Bolt will help our frontline teams reach people sleeping rough, keep them safe, and support them to take the next step off the streets towards a warmer, more secure future.”
“We believe that homelessness is an experience, not an identity. With the right support, it can be ended. Thank you to Bolt for standing alongside Single Homeless Project this winter – and to everyone who chooses Ride for Warmth to help more people stay warm and safe.”
